Ben Gough CMinstD

Managing Director

Ben is the founder of the Ben Gough Family Office (BGFO) and has overall responsibility for the Governance and strategic direction of the office. Ben is also the Deputy Chairman and Executive Director of Gough Group and a director of HCG Group (Southbase Construction) and Mike Greer Homes. In 2012 Ben received the Prime Minister’s scholarship to attend the Advanced Management Program at Harvard and was a 2009 finalist in the EY ‘Young Entrepreneur of the Year’ awards.

Peter Rae FCA AFNZIM

Advisory Board Chairman

Peter is the Chairman of the Advisory Board and is an active investor and professional director. He is the Chairman of Peter Rae Industries Ltd, a director of Mutual Credit Finance Ltd and the Collins Mitre 10 Group and its associated property companies. Peter is a Fellow Chartered Accountant.

Sandy Maier BA(Yale), JD (Harvard Law School)

Independent Advisor

Sandy is an independent advisor for the Group and has extensive experience in corporate governance and finance. He is currently chairman of several companies including Pathfinder Asset Management and Radius Properties and serves as an independent director for several well-known companies including Ngai Tahu Holdings Corporation and McConnell Ltd. Sandy also holds separate directorships relating to his family companies.

Pen Gough BPhty

Advisory Board Member and Trustee of the Ben Gough Family Foundation

Pen serves as an Advisory Board Member of Tailorspace and a Trustee of the Ben Gough Family Foundation, actively overseeing its philanthropic direction. She guides how the Family Office is perceived in the community and is leading through her role as a trustee of the Christchurch Art Gallery Foundation. Pen gained a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Otago University.

Management

Brett Gamble BCom (CA)

Chief Executive Officer

Brett oversees and leads the Tailorspace team responsible for investment and asset management strategy and the overall operations of the group. His background and experience is in private equity and development of growth businesses in both ownership and executive roles. He is also a director of Enable Networks, HCG Group (Southbase Construction) and holds separate directorships for a number of privately owned businesses.

Glenn Taylor BCom (VPM)

Property Consultant

Glenn is responsible for the property investment assets of the Group. He has extensive experience in project management and property investment and development. Glenn previously worked with an NZX listed property company and maintains a wide network of industry contacts. He is a committee member of the Property Council of New Zealand's South Island Branch.

Catherine Boyer BA, DVM

Philanthropy and Trust Advisor

Catherine manages the Ben Gough Family Foundation and is the Family Office philanthropy and general advisor. Catherine has worked with the Christchurch Art Gallery Foundation and previously was Director of Development at St Andrew's College. She currently serves as President of Educate Plus NZ and as a Board Member of Educate Plus Ltd, and Trustee of the Court Foundation. Catherine holds a Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Tufts University

Amanda Doesburg Dip. Com Art & Design

Property and Office Manager

Amanda oversees the property management of the Tailorspace property portfolio and the administrative management of the Family Office. With a Diploma of Communication Art & Design, Amanda is working towards her Bachelor of Applied Management. Her experience includes working in law firms in New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom as a legal secretary and paralegal and marketing and design roles for a variety of projects.

Rachel Hansen LLB, BCom (CA)

Finance Manager

Rachel oversees the reporting and finance functions of the Group. Rachel is a qualified Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand and a Chartered Accountant, qualifying in 2005, while working in audit and corporate finance roles at Deloitte. She has also previously worked for Ngai Tahu Property and Barclays Bank PLC in London.
